ABOUT BERGEN SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE, RAUMLABOR & BIG OLIVE
In March 2016 the Bergen School of Architecture together with Berlin-based office Raumlabor explored Athens from the ground, up in an extensive field trip designed by Big Olive.
The itinerary focused on the neighborhood of Neos Kosmos and included presentation of academic views on how the neighborhood sprung up and brought to life its unique cultural mix. Group discussion was led at various sites including: the local Armenian church; the Bauhaus-style refugee residences; the impressive Onassis Cultural Center; and a church of cast iron that once stood on the banks of the Seine.
