Walking Lecture “Grand Tour of Athens & the Lost River” (extended & adapted to meet preferences). This tour takes a very close look into Athenian history. Greek and Roman ruins; medieval churches; Ottoman mosques; stately neoclassical edifices; vibrant city squares; modern day condominiums and colourful markets. Over the course of the walk, you will decipher how the city as a whole has been planned and built as well as the institutions, individuals, and visionaries who are a part of its long, compelling story. The walk draws on various themes such as history, philosophy, architecture & current matters.

Walking Lecture “Acropolis Hill, Museum & Agora” .This walk visits the Acropolis with the Parthenon as its crown jewel and the nearby sites, including the Ancient Agora of Athens, concluding with a visit to the Acropolis museum, designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi. The itinerary will be led by a certified archaeologist & art historian.

Walking Lecture “Urban fermentations” (extended/ including project visits). Focuses on the social zymoses and mutations in the former productive areas of Metaxourgheio, Kerameikos & Victoria. It tells a story of successive expansion, dislocation and gentrification by providing a deeper insight into the current urban geography of developing territories & social cultures of the centre.The itinerary will be led by an architecture theorist.
